TIQ scores are most commonly classified by the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale (WAIS), which measures the intelligence and cognitive ability of adults. The WAIS scale is based on David Wechsler’s IQ tests, which are considered to be the gold standard of IQ tests administered in English. The fourth edition of the WAIS (WAIS-IV) was published in 2008 by The Psychological Corporation and is still used to classify levels of intelligence.
